In a Time of Uncertainty, We Are Still Connected
Social distancing does not mean we are distancing from our core values and impact on global issues. In fact, this just might be the perfect time to lean in, get informed, stay engaged, and take action to support the UN.
As San Fernando Valley President, I want to let you know as a member of our chapter family that we are thinking of you and your loved ones at this trying time in our world’s history.
UNA-USA has created a virtual activities hub with our community in mind, curating some of the best webinars, online resources from UN agencies, and further ways to take action.
While the Global Summit in New York was cancelled to protect the health of all our members, UNA-USA wanted to keep you engaged, so it has taken the Global Engagement Series online.
Please go to https://unausa.org/virtual-activities-hub/ where beginning this month, you can join UNA-USA leaders and world class speakers for free online virtual programs.

In addition to the national virtual events above, we will be holding chapter executive committee and general member meetings through Zoom.
These are unique and challenging times for everyone, but the UNA-USA community will remain strong, productive, and supportive of one another. As global advocates and community change-makers, our role has never been more crucial. Let’s find creative ways to come together.
All my best,
David Tuckman

The UNA-USA Global Goals Ambassador Program is an opportunity for UNA-USA members to take their passion about a particular Sustainable Development Goal and leverage it to develop related programming and communications at the national level.
During this yearlong fellowship, selected Ambassadors will work alongside UNA-USA staff and other volunteer leaders to promote the SDGs through blog posts and UNA Forum articles, attendance and representation at events, and the creation of national events.
Applications must be received by Tuesday, September 8.
