Introduction to the SDGs
We began with an introduction to the SDGs, listing all 17 goals to familiarize the audience with the framework guiding global initiatives to address poverty, inequality, climate action, and more.
Guest Speaker and Presentation: Dr. Paul Perrin
Dr. Perrin provided an in-depth look at the progress and obstacles in achieving the SDGs, emphasizing the interconnected nature of the goals and the need for collaborative, data-driven solutions. His talk covered both global and local challenges, and he illustrated how strategic partnerships and innovative approaches can accelerate progress.
Q&A Session
After Dr. Perrin’s talk, attendees had the opportunity to engage in a facilitated Q&A session. Participants were encouraged to use the ‘raise hand’ icon or the chat box to submit questions, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas. Dr. Perrin answered questions on topics ranging from SDG metrics to the role of youth in SDG advocacy.

Dr. Fallah concluded the event with a call to action. Attendees were invited to scan a QR code provided at the end, encouraging them to join in local SDG-related initiatives and advocacy efforts.
