October 24, 2019—
“The Climate is Changing, So Should We”

On October 24 at 6pm we invite you, our members and community partners to an expert panel and reception...

"Our Planet. Our Future:
The Climate is Changing, So Should We"

We envision an engaging open discussion featuring experts from local government, nonprofit and private industry discussing efforts and best practices on resiliency and sustainability especially as these relate to the imminent climate crisis.

Moderated and facilitated by our youth member, Elea Castiglione, one of the high school student leaders that recently coordinated the Climate Walkout here in San Diego, the discussion is followed by a dinner-reception to enable the audience and panelists to connect and network.

I am particularly proud to welcome Human Rights Lawyer, Chris Mburu, Senior Advisor to the United Nations High Commissioner Office for Human Rights, who will be honored with this year’s Eleanor Roosevelt Human Rights Award. Grandson, Ford Roosevelt himself will provide this honor to Mr. Mburu. I am outlining this specifically as you may heard of his name from the documentary A Small Act. I believe his backstory speaks to all of us.

We hope you will join us this year and please do invite your family and friends. The $65 per ticket is a moderate price that offers an impressive program, food and networking opportunity.

Don't miss out and join this community event in commemoration of the Founding of the United Nations.
