Bryan Stevenson has dedicated his life to ending the death penalty and providing legal representation to individuals who have been wrongfully convicted, unfairly sentenced, or subjected to prison abuse. In 1989, he established the Equal Justice Initiative and, in 2018, he and the EHI opened the doors to the Legacy Museum and the National Lynching Memorial. A movie about his life, “Just Mercy,” will open on Christmas Day.
