Since the 1960s, Marta has been a Civil Rights activist, headed “Citizens for Kennedy” in her Congressional District, and spoke at rallies/churches to quash opposition based on Kennedy’s religion.

Her involvement with UNICEF started 50 years ago. At 79, she retired as Managing Partner of Stern & Associates. Marta co-wrote a business law text and edited a real estate textbook for McGraw-Hill; she recently co-wrote the definitive manual on commercial loan audits for Sheshunoff. She served as VP, Compliance Officer and Board Secretary for two mid-sized financial institutions after managing a law firm specializing in banking law.
