Join us for this important conversation on human rights advocacy and help shape the future of U.S. human rights policies.

The Universal Periodic Review (UPR) is a UN Human Rights Council peer-review process that evaluates the human rights record of every UN member state every five years. This review leads to formal recommendations for each country to improve compliance with international human rights standards.

UPR Consultations bring together advocates and experts to discuss human rights challenges in the U.S. The insights from these discussions help shape official reports, which directly contribute to the UPR process and influence policy recommendations for the U.S. government.

Be part of this crucial dialogue and make an impact on the future of human rights!

Newly appointed Co-Chair of the U.S. Human Rights Network Universal Periodic Review Task Force at the UN Human Rights Council.

The United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA) is a movement of Americans dedicated to supporting the United Nations. With over 20,000 members (60% under the age of 26) and more than 200 chapters across the country, UNA-USA members are united in their commitment to global engagement and their belief that each of us can play a part in advancing the UN’s mission and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
