A Gender Inclusive Approach to Sexual and Reproductive Health: Lessons Learned from the HIV pandemic

Deborah Mindry is a research anthropologist and consultant who has done extensive public health research domestically and globally. With expertise in sexual and reproductive health, she has collaborated
with researchers, NGOs, and leaders of public institutions in South Africa, Rwanda, Malawi, Uganda and the USA. She is a founding member of the University of California Women’s Health, Gender and Empowerment Center of Expertise and has been visiting scholar-in-residence at the Intercollegiate Feminist Center for Teaching, Research and Engagement based at Scripps College. She holds a Ph.D. from UC Irvine
in Anthropology.

Following Dr. Mindry’s presentation, local UNA members will provide reports from the UN Commission on the Status of Women, March, 2019
