Daria Makuch earned a B.A. in Communication with a minor in French from California State University San Marcos. She continued with a Global M.A. in International Relations from Webster University graduating in Geneva. Immediately after graduate school she moved to Amman, Jordan to intern with UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Work Agency for Palestinian Refugees. There she worked with Palestinian refugees and local staff at the UNRWA College.

Daria has presented a paper on water allocation between Israel and Palestine that she and Dr. Kevin Stringer collaborated on at a Water Security Conference in Geneva. Human rights for all resonates throughout her being and motivates her to stand for those who cannot.
